Welcome
Under the motto “Blinds go radikal” a
non-profit group of called Flying Blind is
organizing a day in Diest, Belgium where blind
people will be invited to enjoy a tandem skydive
for free.
Skydiving is an adventurous activity that
consists on enjoying the feeling of a zero
gravity and weightless environment through a
free fall jump from altitude which is stopped by
the opening of a parachute. It’s about the
unknown, the thrill, the excitement and the
adrenaline pump. The event is aiming to bring a
really exciting day to the blind people
community.
On August 8th 2009, Flying Blind will host an
event that will allow 15 blind or
visually-impaired people the opportunity of a
lifetime – Sky-Diving Blind! Since its inception
in 2005, FLYING BLIND has been entirely run and
managed by a group of volunteers who are
normally working professionals and contribute
their time to this worthy cause. It is an
independent non-profit organization that aims to
hold this event annually.
